At a glance

ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB) is a global leader in the domain of clearing, offering access to a wide range of listed instruments on markets across the globe. AACB has been designated as systemically important with respect to the securities domain. As such, it is closely monitored by Regulators and Central Banks and being “In control” is therefore critical with regards to all processes within AACB. The Treasury & Securities, Borrowing and Lending (SBL) departments keep a watch on the banks liquidity position and ensures that sufficient liquidity and collateral is on deposit. The department develops and executes the Treasury & SBL policies in order to minimize liquidity risks and maximize profit while maintaining the balance in the interests of the customer and the bank, where the customer’s wishes and needs are key.

Your job

As a Treasury and Collateral Officer, you are responsible for efficiently covering the exposures with our street side counterparties. AACB has a wide range of products and clients which trade on 160+ exchanges around the globe. As a General Clearing Member, AACB has the obligation to settle transactions to the Central Counterparties (CCPs) and Over-The-Counter (OTC) counterparties.

  • Our trading department (Securities Finance) is in charge of covering the short sale transactions from our clients by borrowing equities and/or ETFs in the lending market so that our obligation to settle short selling transactions can be fulfilled in time. The exposures arising from these activities need to be collateralized with either cash or non-cash collateral in a timely manner.
  • You are our face to our street side counterparties and internal stakeholders to make sure all our obligations are made on time and in the most (cost) efficient way possible.
  • After the training phase on the desk, you are expected to actively work and think along together with the team on projects to optimize and/or automate processes on the desk.
  • Not only will your focus be on the collateral bilaterally, but you will also be expected to work on cash- and CCP collateral management activities.

If you are looking for an exciting job in which the market circumstances determine the busyness of your day then we are looking for you!
