Financing Solutions (FS) is the Credit Engine of ABN AMRO, providing clients from all segments with the best suited credit solution: The financing House of Excellence! We offer our products across sectors via both standardized as well as customized solutions, depending on the client's needs and profile. FS covers the origination of all loans > EUR 1 mln and provides the facilitating back end/technology as well.
FS consists of 8 departments, one of which is Product & Business Development (P&BD). Your main responsibility is to ensure a long-term oversight and pro-active advice on upcoming Regulation, policy & standard changes and their (capital) impact on our credit products. You will report to the Lead Centre of Regulatory Expertise.
In your role as Regulatory & Policy Expert within FS, you are responsible for:
- 1st Line Policy adherence - ensuring consistent policy framework that aligns with FS aspirations, strategy and risk appetite, providing advice accordingly and managing policy standards under 1st line ownership;
- Oversight of long-term pending and upcoming regulation;
- Analysis of business impact following upcoming regulations – impact over the strategy, risk appetite, RWA, requirements setting and products;
- Providing advice on regulatory interpretation (interpretation of regulatory requirements) from an implementation perspective and support to regulatory programmes;
- Continuous monitoring of existing implemented regulation in the context of latest interpretation and/or supervisory expectations;
- Informing MT FS (and where relevant other stakeholders) on upcoming regulatory impact and preparing Head FS for regulatory committee;
- Regular interaction with external parties to stay informed on regulatory developments and their impact as well as benchmarking implementation practice with outside in views
FS consists of 8 departments, one of which is Product & Business Development (P&BD). P&BD consists of four teams.
- Product Management team manages and develops all FS Credit Products;
- Product Strategy team makes the outlook for a compliant, competitive and profitable product strategy and portfolio, focus on Sustainability.
- Control, Non Financial Risk & Reporting makes sure we are and stay in control with our activities and risks for FS.
- The Regulatory Centre of Expertise ensures long term oversight and proactive advice on pending and upcoming regulations and (capital) impact assessment.

General
- Academic education level;
- Minimum of 5 (for hay grade 11) or 7 (for hay grade 12) years of working experience within Credit/Lending/Risk and Prudential Regulation (CRR & CRD, RTS, ITS, EBA Guidelines etc.);
- Lending experience is highly valued.
Specific
- In-depth knowledge of Prudential Regulation, legislative procedures, regulatory affairs and policies;
- Knowledge of a broad range of lending and lending products as well as other products and services;
- Knowledge of macro-economic and external market developments (current and upcoming) and their impact on the credit risk managed within the department;
- Strong communication & stakeholder skills (both written and verbal);
- Ability to identify key linkages and overlaps between topics and ensure alignment amongst them;
- Deals with ambiguity by effectively setting priorities, balancing the short and the long term;
- Fluency in English and/or Dutch (both written and verbal)
- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
- Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
- An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
