As a Senior Backend Developer in our Polaris team, you will be at the forefront of developing, implementing, and enhancing the software that empowers ABN AMRO customers to securely sign transactions in Internet Banking. All current solutions are AppService deployed on Azure with a Vue Frontend implementation. As a pragmatic professional, you'll need proficiency in Java, Azure (or at least cloud knowledge), CI/CD, and testing. Your role involves close collaboration with developers and other stakeholders to ensure a user-friendly and secure solution for our customers. You will be responsible for implementing future-proof software, elevating existing systems to meet and exceed ABN AMRO standards, and supporting junior and medior developers in their technical skills.
Quality is of paramount importance, and you'll be expected to be meticulous during peer reviews. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll need to explain development challenges to both technical and non-technical team members. Additionally, you'll need to maintain an overview and break down technical challenges into smaller, manageable tasks to ensure continuous improvement and delivery.

Working at Digital Channels & Capabilities
You will work together with fun and hardworking coworkers from both the Netherlands and Poland in an informal environment. We work as an interdisciplinary team consisting of around 10 people including backend- and frontend engineers, a product owner and a UX designer. Your manager will be a Chapter Lead in your team, who will support you in your personal and technical development. If you join our team, you will be working in the Digital Channel Capabilities grid, in short DCC. This department is responsible for digital solutions for our clients and other departments within ABN AMRO.
Polaris operates as a DevOps team with 2-week sprints, focusing on completing the sprint backlog while one member handles operational activities. The team also collaborates with the product owner to refine new requirements or add new ones to our backlog. At Polaris, we believe in a balanced work-life, which includes fun activities. 7+ years of experience in backend technology
Proficiency in Java, Azure (or at least cloud knowledge), CI/CD, and testing

- 25 vacation days based on 40 hours (with the possibility to buy more vacation days)
