Test automation engineer / PEGA

At de Volksbank we are looking for Test Automation Engineers who proudly ensure that de Volksbank systems can be used error-free by our 3 million customers. 

Testing with a focus on Test Automation? Leave that up to you! You also enjoy working in a technical environment. You work accurately and look at details. You also work well together; you like to do this in an agile environment. You communicate daily with colleagues and external parties in the field of both business and IT.

In your team, you work closely with colleagues from different disciplines. In which you also get plenty of room to (further) develop and shape your own role. You will do this both from home and at one of our offices in Den Bosch or Utrecht.

This is where you will be working

At Volksbank, as a Test Automation Engineer, you are in charge. Based on your expertise, you determine how we solve issues, determine and execute the best testing strategy and thereby innovate our team, our way of working, and our products. This is done in collaboration with the Pega Automation Regression Test Guild and the Test Automation Lead.

In this role you are challenged to actively share your fresh perspective, creative ideas and freshly acquired Test Automation knowledge with your colleagues. Thanks to you, we have an application landscape that functions safely, reliably and with high availability.

You will work in one of the 30 Pega development teams we currently have in de Volksbank. Our teams are highly involved and skilled. You will work together with developers, designers and product owners. The lines of communication are short, we easily ask each other for help and are open to new ideas. We work hybrid; you and your teammates agree on which day(s) and at which location you will meet.

Your qualities

We are looking for a professional and reliable Test Automation Engineer. You innovate, share knowledge and love continuous improvement. You excel in collaborating with test colleagues and colleagues with different expertise. You don't shy away from sharing your opinions or ideas. Also, you have:

• By experience you work at a BA or Master level (or you have this level of education);
• Certificates for TMAP or ISTQB or willingness to obtain these;
• Knowledge of the Pega platform and software is an advantage;
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and test automation;
• Experience with at least 1 test automation framework based on JavaScript, Node.js, and Git;
• Experience with TypeScript, Webdriver.IO, Playwright, Cucumber, Jenkins, Gitlab, Jira, Xray or similar are an advantage;
• Experience with (continued) development of automated tests;
• Experience with the further development and maintenance of test frameworks;
• Familiar with the implementation of a test automation strategy, as addition to manual testing activities.

What do we offer?

The salary for this position is between €65.000,- and €85.000,- gross annual fixed income (13th month and 8% holiday allowance included) and based on 40 hours per week. In addition, de Volksbank offers interesting and flexible secondary benefits:
