Product Owner Controlling
Do you get enthusiastic when you hear the words creating digital solutions, realising innovation and driving process optimisation? Does improving the key steering processes of the bank sound like a challenge to you? Then this Product Owner role is just the job for you!
You will be Product Owner within the Controlling Domain and contribute to delivering the Controlling Function with high quality, value adding and efficient insights, reports and solutions. You will contribute to this either from a data processing perspective or more reporting oriented, depending on your preference and experience. We have 1 job opening for either the two data teams or the reporting team.
We come to our results by managing BaU processes and implementing the Controlling change portfolio. The BaU processes concern the data collection/processing, delivering and maintaining the right tools and an up to date, effective IT- and system landscape. Managing the Controlling change portfolio concerns realizing the vision of Controlling, with standardized and automated processes, being innovative and being a fun place to work. Ultimately to empower Controlling in its Co Pilot role within ABN AMRO.
In your role as Product Owner you ensure correct prioritization and execution by the scrum team of the products and services, in line with the vision of the Controlling Grid in automation, innovation and standardization. Although you don’t have a formal leadership role, informally you have attention for coaching and development of employees. Leveraging the emerging possibilities of GenAI is also part of the job.
Managing your stakeholders is an important element in your role. You understand how to influence and have impact in a wide range of stakeholders and how to manage and converge towards clear choices in a high demand environment with scarcity of capacity. Your stakeholders are the CFO teams, Financial Controlling, MT Controlling, Corporate Planning & Control team and IT. Together with the other Product owners you support the Domain Lead in creating a prioritized roadmap which is frequently optimized and updated according to a quick changing environment. You manage the dependencies the scrum team faces with other teams and departments within Finance & Risk.
We find it important to also have fun and social activities together besides the work interactions. Therefore, every month, we have an informal moment to share updates with the Domain, accompanied by snacks and drinks. Next to that, we have regular fun activities. Last year, we played a Grid-wide table football tournament and did sheep herding. This is organized by the people of the teams and for the people of the teams.
The team is part of the Controlling Domain which itself is part of the Finance Grid department, within Finance. The Domain consists of 4 scrum teams (in total approximately 50 fte). Other Domains in the Finance Grid are related to Assets & Liability Management and Accounting.
