We are looking for enthusiastic IT Engineers with passion for IT to redesign the Sourcing application of Capital and Control chain as part of SSF Only Sourcing initiative. You will contribute to a future proof application landscape within the Finance and Risk domain by reengineering in Azure native tooling. Your job

As an IT Engineer you will have a crucial contribution in making relevant and high-quality data available to internal application teams. In short you will work on:

  • Creating Technical detailed design with peers
  • Developing, testing, and deploying applications and frameworks.
  • Collecting, loading, preparing, cleaning, and delivering big and diverse datasets
  • Building, monitoring and maintaining pipelines
  • Optimizing the applications performances and the data delivery
  • Identifying ways of improving the data quality framework and efficiency
  • Aligning and collaborating with stakeholders, product owners and architects

Working environment

You will be working in Capital & Control Chain (C&CC) of Financial risk Grid within the IT Value cluster. The atmosphere within the team and the department is open and informal. You will work in a diverse team with many different nationalities, a good junior/medior/senior ratio and a diverse & inclusive environment. Part of the team is situated in Romania, other part is working from the Netherlands. The team works mainly from home and partially from the office. The way your team works is pragmatic, hands-on, curious and open towards its place in the bigger organizational IT transformation program.Within the department, various teams work closely together, as they often depend on each other’s work.

The team will consist of in about 10-12 people focusing on developing, running and maintaining the platform and software. The team will work in an agile scrum way with two-week sprints. The Product Owner sets the priorities for the sprints in consultation with stakeholders and the Development Team. In a transparent way, you and your team are responsible for the progress and quality of your work.

Your profile

You are intrinsically motivated to stay on top of developments in the field. You are good at conveying your expertise to others, sharing information with team members and working together to come up with solutions to complex problems. You get enthusiastic from creative and innovative solutions. You are not afraid to voice your opinion and getting things done is a motto you live by. Furthermore, you constantly look to push the boundaries of new possibilities. What are we looking for:

  • At least 3 years of experience in data engineering
  • Expertise with Python/pyspark frameworks/libraries
  • Know Spark to be able to improve performance
  • Expertise of SQL.
  • Expertise across data transformation (ETL) frameworks (writing efficient, resilient and “evolvable” ETL is key!)
  • Experience with Azure data tooling (Databricks, Data Factory, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Experience with building ETL data pipelines
  • Experience with using CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Testing
  • Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Cloud Implementations on azure.
  • Able to experiment and learn new tools and technologies
