Your job

As a Data Steward you are responsible for the business aspects of Data Management – according to all relevant (local) rules and regulations, policies and standards. Data Stewards execute business aspects of Data Management such as: creating or maintaining the Data Products; or analysing and solving DQ issues, according to the established data standards and guidelines; or defining and registering (meta)data including Data Lineage and Business Data Model. The Data Steward collaborates with Data Engineers, Solution Engineers and Data Owners. As a Data Steward you have a single reporting line to one of the Product Owners of the Functional Integration team.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and register (meta) data (including Data Lineage and Business Data Model).
  • Define, review and agree on data sharing
  • Resolve data issues (including Data Quality signals)
  • Implement Data Quality checks
  • Gather Data Product requirements and deliver Data Products compliant with all relevant rules, local law, regulations (such as BCBS239) and priority setting.

Workenvironment

The Finance & Risk (F&R) Data Domain is part of Finance & Risk Business Grids (F&RBG), and plays an active role for all the Finance and Risk departments. We employ 300+ international professionals with different backgrounds who are driven to bring F&R data management to a structurally higher level. Our aim is to generate reliable F&R data on time. We do this by improving the data itself, data systems and data processes. We work with an Agile operating model. Our F&R Data Domain consists of 5 teams where the atmosphere is dynamic, open and informal.

Your profile

We are seeking result oriented individuals with an interest in continuous improvement and strong networking skills. If you resonate with the following criteria, you may be the ideal candidate:

  • You have 1 to 5 years working experience in the banking industry, preferably in the area data management.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge on Data Management practices.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements related to finance and risk data
  • Familiarity with data management frameworks such as DAMA CDMP and (data) requirements management.
  • You have successfully completed a higher professional education (HBO) or master’s degree (WO).
