At a glance

You will be working in a dynamic function for the CEO of Europe (in Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt and Sao Paolo) and in close collaboration with the Management Team of Europe. Advising the CEO on improvements and empowering the execution of it. Connecting with colleagues in Europe and Global.
During the year multiple topics are managed for the European region: strategy execution, improvement initiatives, people engagement and monitoring the European house in order performance management.
You are excellent in stakeholder management, a driver for change and like to make impact in the European Region. Run tasks for the CEO like monitoring and preparing the house in order activities, preparing Management presentations, facilitating the Quarterly Business presentations and do the Business Continuity and Management Control activities. To safeguard 1LOD responsibility for Business Continuity Management, policy adherence as well as providing support activities in relation to the execution of risk control processes.

Your job

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Regional CEO and departmental management.
• Being a trusted advisor for Senior Management, where you provide strategic insights and guidance.
• Identifying new opportunities and translating strategies into concrete objectives and Key Results (OKR’s). Involved in ad hoc strategic projects.
• Prepare and coordinate the year plan for the EU region, based on the AACB Global Plan. Monitor the progress through the year.
• Write and coordinate memos to the Global Management Team and Managing Board.
• Coordinate and support maintenance of business continuity management system (BCMS). Assist by preparing management reports, issuing periodic reminders, coordinating discussions, and escalating concerns and challenges to the Regional CEO.
• Support the House in order tasks; monitor the first line risk oversight role (Risk, Compliance, Audit, SHARP etc). Be responsible for Incident Reporting & Tracking, Risk Self-Assessment, risk mitigation action tracking.
• Prepare management information to be discussed on a quarterly basis in the EMT.
• Coordinate the drafting of Quarterly Business Reviews and staff update sessions.
• Arrange engagement activities with the European Culture Club and motivate staff to join / participate.
• Being ambassador in bringing the locations / staff together: Brazil, London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

As Business Manager for the EU CEO you are responsible for leading / making impact on transformative and strategic projects which are crucial for the future of the Clearing organization. You are combining stakeholder management activities with strategic consultancy skills to solve complex issues and professionalize the EU region with steering on clear goals to grow as an organization.

As a Business manager you provide professional support to the Regional CEO in order to facilitate meeting the strategic objectives of AAC in Europe.

Professional requirements:

• Academic working and thinking level and a relevant master education
• At least 6 years' work experience, 2 years of which in a corporate environment
• Writes and speaks fluent Dutch and/or English
• Strong stakeholder management skills including effective written and spoken communication.
• An ability to work independently and think through complex and detailed problems. Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational sensitivity.
• Collaborative: Contributes to improving teambuilding and tactical / strategic projects to increase efficiency and improve results
• Ownership: Uses insight and judgment to identify opportunities to contribute to Clearing success and improve organizational performance
• Results Oriented: Actively focuses on achieving concrete results by continuously addressing issues and removing obstacles that may inhibit success
• Project Management: Is very well organized, able to clearly define goals and deliver results
