The team is currently in the process of streamlining its data collection process by creating a new Finance & Risk Data Domain Store. We are seeking enthusiastic data scientists who enjoy translating data requirements into reliable integrated data sets (data products). Your contribution will play a vital role in making our data collection processes future proof.
Join us as a Data Scientist in the Consumer Data – Reporting team, and embark on an exciting journey to develop a new data product from the ground up. We’re seeking an enthusiastic self-starter who will take the initiative in shaping this new data product. As a Data Scientist on this team, you will play a crucial role in identifying data requirements for a variety of finance and risk data products. You’ll be responsible for translating these needs into a single data product that will serve as the input dataset for multiple use cases. Working closely with colleagues, you will convert requirements into well-defined data products and ensure the delivery of high-quality datasets to end-users within the bank. As part of the Consumer Data Reporting team, you will provide the necessary data to both internal and external reporting departments. Your responsibilities will include technical tasks such as SQL and Python programming, performing data quality analyses, and integrating datasets, as well as documentation and stakeholder communication. We are looking for a senior team player capable of leading the development of this new data product for the Compass 2025 use cases, with a primary focus on finance external (granular) and internal reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and refinement of the newly created data product for internal reporting
- Identify data requirements for both finance external- and internal reporting
- Translate requirements into well-defined data products
- Develop data products using our Consuming Data application (Azure-based/Databricks)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data sets
- Implement and enhance data quality checks to provide an overview of the data quality of our data products delivered to end users
- Contribute to designing the team’s workflow and processes
The Finance & Risk Data Domain is part of Finance & Risk Business Grids (F&RBG), and plays an active role for all the Finance and Risk departments. We employ 250+ international professionals with different backgrounds who are driven to bring data management within Finance & Risk to a structurally higher level. Our aim is to generate reliable finance & risk data on time. We do this by improving the data itself, data systems and data processes. We work with an Agile operating model. Our Finance and Risk Data Domain consists of 5 departments where the atmosphere is dynamic, open and informal.
We are seeking energetic individuals with a passion for combining strategic thinking and hands-on execution. If you resonate with the following criteria, you may be the ideal candidate:
- Master's degree and relevant work experience in data management in the banking industry, preferably in the Finance and Risk domain
- Experience working with SQL and Python
- Azure Knowledge, Data Bricks, ADLS, PySPark, airflow are considered a pré.
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements related to finance and risk data
- Familiarity with data management frameworks and (data) requirements management.
- Project management experience
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
