As a Chapter Lead for our Financial Risk Python group, you will make a significant and meaningful contribution to our sustainable bank. You do this by:

As a Chapter Lead, you are a hands-on IT Engineer and you will work in your own team on designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining, and realizing the highest quality and future proof Python and Azure IT solutions. Second, for another significant part of your time, you will be challenged to manage people and coaching them to advance their skills as both people and professional. Last but not last, you will make sure you will be on an on-going learning path and educate others to achieve higher and more creative technical capabilities and move towards state-of-the-art solutions. Mentoring your Chapter members on technical craftsmanship.
Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing and best practices communities and events.
Continuous improvement and on-going alignment with stakeholders.
Working in a DevOps environment, implementing and advocating the DASA DevOps way of working.
On a strategic level, you think ahead and make sure that everything continues to work flawlessly now and, in the future, mentor your team, execute and experiment with technical assessments, do interviews and ensure that new employees are properly onboarded.
Take care of people management processes to facilitate all aspects relating to the influx, development, performance and outflux of employees. Be flexible and willing to learn and develop yourself further and further.

The Financial Risk Grid of ABN AMRO is a lively group of people within the Finance and Risk businesses of the bank. It makes sure that the ABN AMRO can report every piece of data that needs to land safely in the hands of our regulators. This grid is a mix of a deep combination of business and technology expertise that is challenging all of us every day of the week, and at times 24/7. If you come to work for the Financial Risk grid, you will realize how fun, ownership, responsibility, accuracy, and drive quickly become your reality.
The Python Chapter at Financial Risk will have about 8-10 members with various levels of experience. You will be working with some of the chapter members also in your team and with other colleagues across the chain.
The key focus area of your block will be in and around IFRS9 regulatory reporting. We are constantly changing our operation because we want to be and do better. We apply DevOps and own what we do in mindset, behaviour, and execution: Whatever you do, you build it, you run it, you love it. Think of automate first, too.
You report to the IT Lead who is also your sparring partner for challenges with regards to staffing or other bigger topics like architecture.

Hard Skills:
- Academic degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
- Expertise in Python, including concurrent & asynchronous programming.
- Proficiency in FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Kubernetes, and Application Insights.
- Familiarity with Bicep, Kafka, Redis, and Databricks (Nice to have).
Must-Have Requirements:
- Proven Python development experience.
- Strong skills in Azure technologies.
- Experience in a DevOps environment.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration.
- Ability to mentor and inspire team members.

- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
