Do you want to be part of the Data Revolution in the banking industry? Do you have a strong passion for data and do you agree that data is at the core of creating value for customers? Does working in a complex environment energize you? Then come help us unlock the power of data at the Central Data Office (CDO) of ABN AMRO!

You help realise the delivery of the ABN AMRO strategy: a Personal Bank in a Digital Age. You ensure that the entire bank follows the correct route towards a fully data driven organisation. From shaping new concepts to designing and guiding data management initiatives. You are able to quickly submerge yourself in a brand-new initiative, shape, socialise and ensure it is properly anchored for successful execution.

Your job

As a Performance Manager you are responsible for measuring the performance via the KPIs set for the data domains, the CDO and the ExBo KPIs and the reporting for the resulting performance dialogues. Based on this, you advise the data governance experts on the further development of the performance indicators. You report, support and provide the data domains and the CDO with information regarding the maturity of the data organisation.

Some examples of your responsibilities:

  • ExBo Reporting: Demonstrate expertise in writing comprehensive executive board (ExBo) reports, ensuring clear communication of insights and strategic recommendations
  • Program Management: Utilize strong program management skills to lead and oversee performance management initiatives from conception to completion
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting: Measure monthly performance via KPIs for data domains, CDO, and ExBo. Report on findings and facilitate performance dialogues
  • Strategic Management Information: Provide tactical and strategic management information and advice on data management topics within a business line
  • Process Integrity: Ensure the robustness and integrity of the performance management process, collaborating with all involved parties
  • Risk Management: Identify and monitor data management risks and issues across datasets, including adherence to data management standards; address inefficiencies or unclear processes and tooling.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the main bank, international branches, and subsidiaries to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Monitoring & Alignment: Monitor data management business targets and dataset execution plans; translate business line priorities and align with partners and stakeholders to set data targets.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Performance Manager to join our team, focusing on measuring and optimizing the performance of our data domains. This role requires strong program management skills and the ability to ensure the robustness of the performance management process. The complexity of the position lies in the broad scope of areas of attention and contact with many stakeholders – across the main bank, international and subsidiaries.

Working environment

The Performance Manager team is part of the Portfolio Management department within the CDO organization. The Performance Manager team consists of 4 employees who directly report to the Head Of Portfolio Management.
Next to your day-to-day work, there is room to design, create and implement new processes especially when you are the one who is suggesting the change for the better! We do so in an open and transparent way of working where your opinion is valued and dialogue is encouraged. The team is diverse with regards to culture, experience and age. The atmosphere is lively and informal, closely monitoring a safe environment where everyone is able to share their thoughts, feelings and worries. It is normal to make mistakes and we aim to help each other grow better as learning is one of our main focuses.

The team you become part of is in constant collaboration with all business lines, international branches and subsidiaries of the bank. We all work together at the frontier of the largest data revolution in the banking industry and with the core value-assets of the organization.
